He dodged and called down a blast of pure darkness. By the time that he got to him, Calamus Procella lay dead.

Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII.

Vincent=Kickass

DoC's final level, so that you can see that it's an action game and not an RPG like the rest of the Final Fantasy Series.

Just a sidenote: Some reviewer called Vincent a Dante wannabe because he wears a red cloak and can transform into a demonic form.

However, Final Fantasy VII (Vincent's first appearance, and he hasn't changed since with the exception of Chaos Form becoming more human) came out in 1997. DMC came out in 2001.

So, if anyone is a wannabe of anyone, Dante is a Vincent wannabe.

I never said that Dante was a Vincent wannabe. I just said that if anyone is, it was Dante. Of course, I've researched how his character was developed. The only similarities are the red clothes and the demonicity.

Vincent has an entirely different backstory. He's the product of an experiment by Doctor Hojo (Sephiroth's Father).
