a new enemy?
The world shook. There was no other word for it. The entire world shook. For one brief terrifying moment, the world shook. The forces needed to push him through the portal were so utterly powerful that it shook this world and the next 3 around it. The portal opened, and Ruin stepped out, Right into the center of a conglomeration of undead. All the undead spun around and looked at him, then began to charge.
Seconds later, he walked calmly away, the entire area for miles away burned and smoldering. Ruin's eyes glinted as he walked, the flames reaching into the air behind him miles high. He tried to figure his location, but couldn't, so he headed to the nearest path and began walking. He figured it would eventually lead him somewhere.

Demon elf I wake up and see a person on the ground nearby. The man, was tall, and slightly muscular. He wore a white tunic with Mithril body armor over it. His hair was white and his eyes were a deep blue. Upon his back, twin long swords were crossed, resting in their sheaths. The swords seemed to emit a sort of ‘presense’. “He must have followed my tracks,” I think to myself. I silently curse at myself for being so careless. If he could find me this easily there’s no doubt that the Demon King can, but there is no point in getting upset over that now.
I jump down from the tree. I pull out my bow and form a shadow arrow in it. I land aiming my bow directly at his head. “Who are you and what are you doing here? More importantly, do you have an allegiance to the Demon King,” I ask coldly still pointing my arrow at his face…

"I guess you want me to go for help?" i say as me and the Elder ascend the ladder that leads from the top of the wall.
"Yes. You must go and inform Illuien, the Highest Elder of are people. His last location was Wolfshaven. You must go there and tell Illuien about the ever growing threat. If you do not warn him than I fear no one else will."
"Why was I chosen over the normal messangers?" I say as we head to my place of respite.
"You were chosen for your magic abilitys, your swiftness, and also your battle experaince. Which most of are messangers don't have."
I sigh, I was the best choice. Anyone better at fighting would be needed here. The normal messangers were not fighters in the least, so they would be held back. And the most powerful magi would be informing other mages from affar.
"When should I leave?" I ask slightly sadden about leaving my village in it's time of need.
"You must leave now, I fear that if we wait even a day they will close to where you can not leave."
I nod and go in to get my pack and add some extra stuff I would need for a long journey.
----1 Hour later-------
"Why have I not yet left Elder?" I ask sitting in the town meeting hall.
"You are going to be traveling a diffrant rout than what you are used to, so you will need a guide."
"And where am I traveling that I would not be able to find my way?" I ask.
A deep voice from behind me answers. "The Underground citys of the Dwarves!"
I turn to see a Dwarf, that appears to be, of high standing in the dwarven city.
"Drager Ironfist?" I ask in amazement.
"Ebrithil!" My dear dwarven friend runs over and we shake hands.
"It is good to see you Ironfist." I say smiling, I look down at his fine robes, "You seem to have moved up in the citys rankings my mining friend."
"Bah! you speak to no miner. You are speaking to Drager Ironfist the Conciler of the Mines." He says with a slight grin, "But you can call me Ironfist."
I bow slightly mockingly,"Why thank you Conciler."
The Elder clears his throat.
"Ahh, yes. now to this sad business." He grumbles as he moves over to a near by seat. He pulls a small scroll from his robes and starts to read.
"On behalf of my King, I offer are guide Ivan Stumblefoot as Ebrithil Jyhatson's guide on his travel through the great Kingdom of the Dwarves."He rolls it up even though it is aparent that there are many more things writen on it.
"Stumblefoot?" I ask trying to hide my fairly obvious amusement.
"Why yes. Stumblefoot is one of the best guides in the City. He can take you all the way to the Human city of Linding."
I scowl ever so slightly. Ironfist continues.
"We also offer 50 dwarven warriors to add to your ranks."
"We thank you for your kindness Drager Ironfist,Conciler of the Mines. Please convey are utter thanks to your most greatful king."
"Yes yes. We must leave now Ebrithil if you wish to make it to Linding before the next days night fall."
I turn and head from the building with great haste to the doors of the Dwarven kingdom.
Before I make it to the door of the kingdom Reentih stops me to give me a Seering stone. I stare at her abviously confused. She smiles and explains that I can use it to view her from afar and that she has one too and will be checking up on me to make sure I am safe. I thank her and tell her not to pull any heroics with out me. She smiles once more and I leave. Onthe way to Linding I get to know Ivan. He is a great fellow, and very kind by Elven standerds.
I look down at my stone and cast the Seering spell. I see her starting out in to the ditances.
>>I will miss her. I only hope that I can make it back in time to get in a few kills for my self<<

back to a old elf friend
Syrius tensed slightly, ready for anything. He'd been held at bow point before, however, never had he seen the like of the weapon before him. He now saw the elves eyes, which glowed a bright red. This made him think of the Shadow he'd encountered the night before for a second, however this definatly wasn't the same being.
"Let's break the question down..." Syrius said though not mockingly. "Who I am is no secret. My name is Syrius Dragonheart, and I like to think of myself as a freelance hero. What I'm doing here... Looking for answers... I saw the battle feild and investigated and now I see you... Quite impressive, by the way."
He thought he saw the strange elf smirk slightly from the last comment.
"As for the last question. Short answer, no. I wasn't sure if the rumors were true about a king of the demons, but now that you confirm it..."
"Hmm..." The elf said thoughtfully, though not lossening his grip on the bow.
"Now that I've told you what you want to know, do you mind putting that bow down and telling me who you are, and just exactly what happened back there?" Syrius asked.

The stranger strikes
A mid size town stood in front of Ruin. He calmly walked toward the gate to find his way barred by two soldiers. They spoke authoritatively.
"Who are you and what is your purpose here?" they barked. Ruin was a strange individual...he refused to lie about anything.
"I'm here searching for a way to open a dimensional gateway for the lord of Quesrestia and his underlings to come through, while also attempting to take vengeance upon the titans for what they did to me." He said in a monotone voice. The guards were confused, but didn't stay that way for long. Ruin threw them both through the door of the town and walked through the hole they had made.
Within minutes, he had cornered the mayor of the town, and decimated the barracks. "Speak old man...tell me where I may find information about the titans. I know your too stupid to know anything, but you must know where I can find information. Do so or you all die." Ruins voice was calm and reasonable, thus frightening everyone around him even more. The man managed to stutter out the name of a large city, Danas, where many scholars lived. Ruin nodded, and walked away.
Standing upon a hilltop not too far away, he took a swig of the wine he had taken from the bar. Spitting it out in disgust, he raised one hand to the skies.
"JUDGEMENT!" he cried out in a voice that thundered. Bolts of lightning rained down from the sky, razing the town to the ground. Ruin calmly tossed the bottle back in the direction of the town, and walked away.

I slowly lower my bow. Syrius Dragonheart does not seem to be a threat to me. Nevertheless as a precaution, I left my sword in the tree and it's ready to go flying through him if he tries anything.
I begin to speak, "My name is Findeco Ciratan. Since you heard stories about the Demon King it would not surprise me if you heard of me. I used to be one of the Demon King’s top soldiers. He put a curse on me giving me my dark appearance and demonic powers. He kept me under his control with a mind control spell. Not too long ago, a young woman broke the spell controlling my mind. Since then, I have traveled around the countryside putting an end to his work. What you saw back there was an attempt of the Demon King to attack an innocent unprotected village. He sent a lone demon named Ijup and a small army of undead thinking it would be a quick and easy battle. However, I heard of this attack ahead of time, and set out to stop it single-handed. As you can see, I was successful. Any more questions?”

Lendranie Swiftstroke arrived at the outer village of Dawnrise. The village seemed undisturbed and at peace. The Sunbringer sighed with relief, and she knocked on the doors of the high elder's residence. The high elder looked out, and he was surprised, but pleased to see Lendranie. He said, 'Well, if it isn't Sunbringer Swiftstroke! What a pleasant surprise. What fair circumstance brings you to visit our humble abode today?'
Lendranie asked the elder, 'Tell me, Elder Nathir, have the undead been troubling your village here recently?' Nathir looked at her quizzically then said, 'Well, not really. Our local ranger patrol encountered undead that attacked other villages, but surprisingly our village has not been troubled so far.' Lendranie Swiftstroke was puzzled, as she knew that Thaldar Village was a testament to the undead's aggression on her homeland. She mulled over the issue, then asked Elder Nathir, 'Then have supplies and such other commodities been disturbed?'
Nathir then replied, 'Well, the grain supply has not arrived here for the last week. I do not know - ah, there it is!' as a wagon came trundling in with crates of grain stacked on it. Lendranie looked at the wagon, and she looked at the shady, hooded figure that was driving it. Suddenly, she felt deeply suspicious of this hooded figure, and she said, 'STOP!' The hooded figure stopped and said in a soft, yet deep voice, 'What is it, elf?' Lendranie said, 'Let me inspect those crates of grain. Do not distribute them yet!'
The figure suddenly hissed, 'No one shall interfere with the Master's plans. And you certainly shall not interfere any longer!' and he jumped down, drawing a poisoned dagger, and stabbed swiftly at Lendranie. Fortunately, Lendranie's senses were up to the standard, and she dodged the stab. The human, evidently a collaborator with the undead, advanced ruthlessly, stabbing viciously at Lendranie while hissing curses at her.
After dodging the man's flurry of stabs, Lendranie took action. She grasped the Soul Skull pendant hanging by her neck, and said, 'Bash'a no falor talah!' Suddenly, a whirl of dark energy surrounded her, as her skin turned grey and her hair turned black. Her eyes no longer shone with blue radiance as smoky grey darkness now radiated from them. The man gazed, then laughed and said, 'So you're one of us too! Now, help me in distributing this diseased grain to the populace and I shall,' but Lendranie, without even listening to him, drew her legendary axe, Death's Grip, and with one skillful stroke, sliced the man across his chest.
As the man lay dying, Lendranie said to him grimly, 'I'm not one of your vile kind. And I'm sworn to protect all of my people against the evil of your kind. Anu belore dela'na!' and swirls of light energy engulfed Lendranie again as her skin returned to its fair complexion and her hair reassumed its rich golden tone. She replaced Death's Grip and drew Sun's Flight and aiming an arrow at the man's head, she said, 'None shall defile my homeland. Anar'alah belore!' and with that one arrow, she put the man out of his misery.
Lendranie Swiftstroke then inspected the crates of grain. She opened one, and it seemed normal; white, healthy, seemingly undisturbed. But she was also a mage in addition to a ranger, so she knew what to do. She stretched forth her hands and cast the spell of Purifying Touch. On anything that was living, the Purifying Touch would heal, but on anything that contained undead or demonic energy, the Purifying Touch would reveal the evil energy if it was hidden, and damage the being that had the undead or demonic power within it.
The result was shocking. All the grain turned black, and began to burn! Lendranie Swiftstroke said softly, 'So this is how Thaldar Village fell; they used this to turn most of the Thaldar inhabitants into undead!' The high elder, who had watched the scene unfold, gazed in horror upon the grain, and turning to Lendranie, he bowed to her and said, 'We owe you the survival of this village, dear Sunbringer Swiftstroke. Though you are half-undead yet until now you still prove your loyalty to us more and more every passing day. Now we must take measures to prevent more diseased grain from endangering our village. Priest Theladuin!' And from Dawnrise Village's chapel, the village priest came forth. 'Yes, Elder Nathir?'
The elder said, 'From now on, all grain shipments must be inspected by you and Priestess Sinnelia. Cast Purifying Touch on all grain before it is distributed. Have the Rangers question the people who bring in the grain shipments. This last shipment was diseased, and has the power to transform our people into the undead. We cannot allow the tragedy of Thaldar to befall this village. Keep vigilant watch against this evil. May the sun's light shine on us all.' The priest nodded and gave some orders, and the villagers began carrying the crates of diseased grain away.
Lendranie Swiftstroke nodded, satisfied that her mission had been accomplished, and she told Elder Nathir, 'I must go now. Not just our people, but our friends, our allies of the other races, need protection. May you be blessed by the sun in my absence. Farewell!' and with swift steps, Lendranie Swiftstroke ran off. But now she knew her duty to her own people being done, it was now her duty to warn others. She ran towards the dwarven kingdom, for she had friends among the dwarves, and she did not want them to be unprepared when the undead struck against them.

Ruin was calmly walking along when he felt it...a sliver along his skin telling him something involving the titans was nearby. He began to run with the eerie speed of the Llythari, and swiftly caught up to the elf who had the aura. He looked at her and zeroed in on the axe. He raced up beside her and slammed into her, knocking her to the ground. She leapt up, beginning to draw her bow, but he moved too fast, snapping her arm and fracturing the bone in it. She gamely held on and bit back her tears, but when he drew his fist back and slammed it into her stomach, she almost passed out. She bent over double and felt the stunning effects, for he had devilishly slammed light energy into her, recognizing what she was. As she lay on the ground, he picked up her axe, and stared at it for a second.
"Hmph," he said and casually tossed the blade to the ground. She gritted her teeth and called out.
"You filthy thief! Why aren't you taking Death's Grip?! You wanted it!" she glared at him through tearing eyes. Ruin stopped for a second, then turned around.
"I couldn't care less about it. I just wanted to see it for a second." He replied in his monotone voice.
"Then why not ask for it?" she asked, perpexled. Ruin turned away and said offhandely as he walked away.
"It was easier to take it," and walked off.
